Bargaining Session Update: May 9, 2025

LMU and the SEIU 721 Non-Tenure Track (NTT) bargaining unit met for the eighth session today, continuing efforts to reach a first collective bargaining agreement. 

LMU remains committed to a collaborative, principled bargaining process that honors our faculty’s contributions while always prioritizing an exceptional student experience in support of our mission and values. We continue to pursue an agreement that responsibly balances meaningful support for faculty with the university’s ongoing sustainability and educational excellence. The university’s proposals and counterproposals are guided by an unwavering commitment to academic excellence. We value the dedication of our non-tenure-track faculty as we work together toward a shared path forward. 

Proposals

At today’s session, the union presented two counterproposals, and the university presented two  counterproposals. LMU continues to pursue an ambitious bargaining schedule. 

The next bargaining session will be May 23, 2025 at 10 a.m. Further updates will continue to be shared on LMU’s Bargaining Updates website as negotiations progress, reflecting our shared commitment to academic excellence and the university’s mission.
